It sounds like it's anything goes as far as gender pairings go. Personally I'm doing a het one for this first project. n.n

So, is the theme going to be shounen-ai/shoujo-ai, or just pairings in general? Because I can probably come with something slashy, but I do have a het (male/female) one that I want to do too. Well, 'slash' in the 'historical' fandom sense merely indicates a pairing (it of course comes from the "/" mark used between character names). Many people still use the term as a general one for a pairing. The term originated in sci-fi fandoms back in the '60s and was used by mailing lists, zine writers, etc. One of the first gay pairings to use the "/" was Kirk/Spock, from the original Star Trek. In newer fandoms it tends to mean a gay or lesbian pairing (or other non-mainstream pairing such as incest), however be aware that older fans may not use the term in the context you may be used to. Personally I would leave it up to everyone's own interpretation, just to highlight the term's evolution in fandom over the years.

Thanks for the details on that, M! I guess I'm part of the old-school crowd that thought slash was just pairings in general. Now I know... and knowing is half the battle ^_^.
Since the goal of an anthology is to be the "best collection of diverse stuff", our goal should be to have different kinds of pairings with quality writing and the best art for which we're capable. I would want guys drooling over Saya as much as girls drool over Sasuke and guys drooling over Sasuke and girls drooling over saya. (Wheee! My head is spinning.)
EDIT: While drooling may be involved...I'm not making mine H-desu.

Well, since we're all on the theme of pairings now... I think we should make an announcement on the Con-boards that the doujinshi group's first projects is a pairings anthology...and if Mellonemrys want to mention it at the creation station group...I'd appreciate it... if you guys think we're ready for that announcement let me know. I won't make the announcement...until I've given you guys ti'me to object...I'll make the announcement on Monday or Tuesday. If you object, let me know,

*shocks this thread back to life.* LOL.
Anyway, I just thought I'd let everyone know that I have a premise for my contribution: Neji and Tenten "celebrate" his (Neji's) promotion to Jounin.
I think Multipass is doing something from the video game, Portal, but don't quote me on that....
